I'm so delighted to share that I have all these plastic bodied pens and their upgraded versions! I would have added the G2/G2 Limited and the Pilot Varsity or Kakuno/Metropolitan. Great video!

You gotta love how most of these "upgrades" forgo basic creature comforts like a rubber grip and just make you hold on to slippery metal. Super premium.

I own the two 5-packs of Zebra Sarasa pens in vintage color, and then I bought the Zebra Sarasa Grand in some vintage shade of purple as a gift for my sister. She liked it.

But my favorite for personal use is the .38mm line of Uni Signo UM-151 gel pens (since the Pentel Hybrid Technica pens are limited to refill-only status in black, blue, and red. (And fortunately I have some Pentel Hybrid barrels, so I can still indulge in the best.))

I love FriXion pens. I mean, serious addiction, got all the colors, got the Kese Lames, thin bodies, knocks, 4 colors, etc. But a business friXion? Maybe not a good idea to ink up business documents with a pen with disappearing ink if run through a printer or copier, or left in a hot car. 🤣

I have a couple sarasa clips that I love, so I decided to splurge on a vintage grand. It's definitely the classiest pen in my collection, but I actually don't really like writing with it- the clip is extra long and gets in the way of the clicker at the end, meaning that I have to be holding it a certain way to retract or extend the tip. I don't mean to be a downer, but I was so excited about it and then so disappointed and I wanted to give my fellow pen lovers an fyi

Upgrading to the Kaweco AL Sport was one of the best leaps I’ve made with pens. The metal ones are SO wonderful! I have a few of them now, all the aluminum, but I’m definitely curious about the brass.

My LAMY Safari's are my go-to fountain pens; a joy to use for years. I love the feel. The upgraded LX certainly caught my eye.
I have had a Rotring 600 trio since before Tikky's were even made. It's loaded with a ball point, .05 pencil and the orange high-lighter refills and have served me well.
I still use Tikky .05 graphic pens for day to day journal and planner entries. fountain pens

I look forward to trying out an upgraded version of the Zebra Sarasa Clip - it's my favorite pen so far! The only downside is that I prefer ~0.4mm because I write small and my cursive letters become fancy looking blobs instead of open-looped letters. lol
