I know these are a fairly recent production, but any info on how they hold up in humid areas like a bathroom, or FL? 😉
I can't tell if the tight tolerances would be vulnerable to ceasing up due to scale or moisture causing some corrosion or mineral buildup.

Very nice shelf, but if you call this floating I wonder how you define a floating shelf? I feel like this is very clearly not floating..

I mean... they're cool, but it's hard to justify when you have to look for uses, and when aluminum/stainless screw cap covers used in signmaking are available in bulk, multiple sizes, multiple finishes, a fraction of the cost, and dont require special drivers...

its cool for makers, but for end users, the whole point seems to be for these to be identical to a solution that already exists at many times the cost??

The biggest downside to them is the need to be designed around the screw in many ways. You even said in this video “pika screw design”. Youre literally describing/naming entire projects after the fastener design…and I get why but that’s inherently going to limit use cases if they are “designs where this fastener is made to be used.

But this gave me a couple thoughts and I’d like to chat about it if possible.
