Make your own DSD files from vinyl and tapes

I use often this module to make my own best quality audio DSD 5,6 MHz from my selected records and studio tapes as a safety measure but also for its portability. Recently I bought a TASCAM DA-3000 which uses the same PCM4202 chip for ADC (Analog to Digital Convertor) and the quality of DSD files is incredible close, despite the price of module which is ten time cheaper. If you know to use a soldering iron, it's easy to do it. Enjoy !

Thanks a lot for this description. It works very well. I have constructed one unit and am using it now with my Cambridge Audio Alva TT turntable, which has a much better sound quality. The left channel in my current test is maybe minus 0.5 - 1 dB softer than the right. But this could also be the current vinyl I am playing. I will see over time if this is a permanent effect.

Audio interfaces exist for that purposes. PCM are cheap enough. But Korg, Tascam, etc.. can write in DSD with PCM4202 or PCM4222 (but the first one is better because of a 1-bit sigma for DSD vs 6-bits sigma).
PS I'm afraid that an increasing a gain in the software, causes DSD to be converted into PCM for some math, and then converted back to DSD. Which is not willing I think.

I would like one of these. Can I pay you to make me one?
