Garmin Marine GPS Tutorials: How to Set a Waypoint.

If you're using a Garmin marine GPS unit and want to set a waypoint, follow these steps:

Power on your Garmin marine GPS unit and wait for it to acquire a satellite signal.
Press the "Mark" button to mark your current location as a waypoint, or use the arrow keys to navigate to the location where you want to set a waypoint.
Press the "Menu" button and select "Save" or "Save Location" from the options menu.
Enter a name for the waypoint using the on-screen keyboard. You can also add additional information, such as a symbol or a comment, if desired.
Press the "Enter" button to save the waypoint.
