YouTube University and school of hard knocks here! Started out shooting action shots of my kids years ago and over time, learned I was decent at it. From that to running a photography business for the last 3 years. Getting closer to doing this full time. Your channel has helped my sports portrait photography tremendously so thank you for that. I learn something every time I pickup a camera and shoot. I believe photography, while someone can be great at it, is something you never really master. I’m my own worst critic but as long as my clients are happy, that’s all I care about. It’s more about the creative journey and learning from your mistakes along the way. Trust your creativity in the moment. I personally never imagined that people would actually pay me to take pictures, but yet here I am getting close to my side hustle being a full time job.

I just thought I'd share something a little different. Feel free to drop your suggestions or maybe stories from when your journey learning photography. I know the self-timer was my friend when I wanted to learn lighting and was too intimidated to practice with someone else!📸😱

And even after you pick one area of photography, you can still pick up tips, tricks, and ideas from people in other fields, genres of photography! There's ALWAYS something new to learn!

Hey James. Love your channel. Would love to see you discuss how you would do some of the sports teams with a smaller kit. As an example, I have 3 lights currently (2 strobes and a speedlight...all Godox wireless) so having enough strobes to do some of the rim lighting you do so well is a challenge. So maybe some recommendations on how to do a 2 light set up, 3 light set up.
