I live in the Midwest (st. Louis, Missouri) that kind of behavior or response doesn't surprise me. People in the Midwest (not all) are close minded and do the same thing ever day... they aren't as open as other people on the coast. Especially if you aren't on social media.

**Guy sees vegan sign on van**
**Goes on rant about BLM, Liberals are to blame etc.** That escalated quickly 😂😂

Whenever someone calls me out for being vegan, I kind of forget everything I'm doing this for and don't make a good argument... :-(

Thank you for standing up for yourself and having an adult conversation! Oh how I wish all problems could be solved this way!

eh I have a lot of feelings about this video.

as someone who does a lot of anti racist work, and live my life everyday as a black queer femme, we need to have a talk.

Props to you for being able to have that conversation with someone so ignorant. I can't ever keep my cool with people like that.

Our diet is superior in every single way. Do remember we do need construction workers. He probably just is uneducated.

Do the smoothies get boring after a while? I guess it is the most efficient way to ingest calories when you are in a time crunch, especially when eating raw.

I don't understand why people are so hateful towards others for their diets... We don't yell at people for eating meat, so why do they yell at us for eating some goddamn plants? What a weird mindset. Proud of y'all for taking the time to talk to that man and try to find some common ground. We'll never learn to be a more peaceful people if we don't talk to each other.

Sorry to hear about the discrimination. I like how you and Carson responded. We do need to talk about the situation instead of complain. I feel that when we don't respond in the right way it becomes a "he said, she said" kind of hate problem. I do understand good reaction too, other than the particular words. As a Republican I also feel discrimination. Most people I interact with go crazy on Facebook or in person when they hear I am a Trump supporter. I tell them there are two sides to every story. Our experiences and what we hear determine our opinions. If I believed everything the liberal media said, I would hate Trump too. But we must not let these difficult political issue divide us. Division is the goal but we need to fight back. We need to love each other through it all. We can accept and love people even if we don't agree on every issue.

I totally think the way you handled it was positive and progressive! It's awesome running into people with different perspectives and getting to hash it out. Just as he thinks the right is misunderstood, so is the left. Not all people on the left are wildly radical and are that aware of adhering to PC culture because it plays into the identity politics that's dividing us in the first place. These interactions are important, as well as the words we use to explain them.

I just thought of something that I would like to mention here that I have been thinking about for awhile! I was born in 1988, I am 29. When I was in elementary school I remember having black history month. There was never a white history month. I never complained. It was just the way it was and I was raised to think that is normal and just fine. I also went to schools that were only 30 percent white. You can say that I was very familiar with black culture, but stayed on the outskirts of it because I never adopted the "attitude" and love of rap to fit in properly. I think because of this I was able to observe things clearly over the years. I remember coming home from school and watching Martin, The Fresh Prince of Bel-air, Moesha, Sister Sister, Family matter's was a favorite! Kenan and Kel, The Bernie Mac Show, Bill Cosby, Smart Guy and A Different World. Now I didn't watch just strictly black shows, but these are all in my memories. Now through high school, I graduated in 2006, there were pretty much no black shows on, even google right now only shows 4 for the 2000's. There were some great black comedians at this time though! Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Kevin Heart, Bernie Mac, Kat Williams, Chris Tucker, Martin Lawrence, Tracey Morgan, Jamie Foxx, The Wayan's brother', Eddie Griffin and Arsenio Hall.

Now what the hell is happening?! Where is everyone? Do these people not want work? Or is someone or some outised force stopping them and standing in the way of a lot of them working? Something is going on here and it is being forced upon us. I feel like these forces that own the media and the tv/movies. They are up to something and it is meant to divide us! We were not this separated in the 90's or early 2000's! Something is going on and it is time that it is looked at! What happened in the last 10 years??? I have graduated now 11 years ago, so I have no idea really! But something has happened and I would like to hear from some younger people. I want their opinions on the matter. We were not having these problems 15-25 years ago. Someone is planting ideas and it is NOT for the benefit of us all. We used to get along just fine, at least in the larger cities. I was raised in Fort Lauderdale Florida. All lives matter, now when did this current division start? I am going to post this around in a few places, because I really want these answers! I will also check youtube, I am sure there are conspiracy videos done on this topic! There used to be a brotherhood, an equality, no snide racial comments. It used to be great!

vegans are usually all about peace and love, so the division in the community is unfortunate.
