Hi there, just bought the software and I'm very excited to start my game! Now, I'm following this video but there's a couple of things right at the beginning that look different on my Unity page. Since I'm a total noobie, i just want to be sure I won't start with some wrong settings. If I play the game, like you do at 10:57, I get the all background somewhat smaller, and in its background there's a shade... Can you please tell me how to set Unity up before I start creating with Adventure Creator? Thank you very much!

Great tutorial. But I have one question: When the character stops walking, it doesn't stop directly, it glides over the ground ( like in 1:32:50) Is there a way to remove that gliding/hovering after the walk cycle?

Ok, I managed to get to the talking bird :) Now my problem is that as soon as I press Play like you do at 54:25, the main character starts the dialogue. He walks in and I have the dialogue open, without me interactiong with anything. I tried to go beack and check everything, but I just don't get where I'm wrong...

Hello Chris,

Awesome vids, I'm having a problem 15:37 . When I click to move my player he slides all over the screen and doesn't walk to where I'm clicking, do you know what could be causing this? I have no other assets loaded.

Excellent video, and great updated notes--still incredibly useful. My only concern is the feeling that the visual scripting might be quite difficult with more complex interactions. The user interface for that is pretty awful...if boxes overlap, they become immediately unreadable; there should be a solid layering system with a much stronger opacity for last used nodes. I also wish there was a way of scaling out--like Blueprints in Unreal, to manage them on a more marco level.

I suppose I'll be able to do a lot of that in custom scripts, however. Just throwing some feedback out there from my initial dive in. I'm already designing my first project! Super excited.

Is it possible to have dialog options becomes available (or not available) based on some global variable?  Is it possible to do without writing a script that goes through the conversation object and manually sets the "is enabled" options?

I've got v 1.51g and in the AC Game Editor window in the Scene tab under Navigation, there is no NavMesh button of any kind available. The buttons otherwise look alike except for two added camera buttons, which is simply a difference between versions, but what of NavMesh 2D? Is that part of the video antiquated, or what might be going on? - thanks

One question, the hotspot in my bird doesnt seem to work properly, or at least not as well as the one of the tree, i select a big square but i can only click in certain little sports

using this, would there be a way to have cycle-able tools instead of pop up menus for interactions, like how seirra does in its adventure games? like have an overhead menu, and have the player select "look" or "use" or right click to cycle through them? Thanks!

Hello there, I am loving this tutorial, but I'm running into a problem I can't seem to figure out. I got Brain into the game and walking correctly, but whenever I have him go to the bottom of the NavMesh his model disappears, he'll then stay in the same spot until I tell him to walk up and away from the bottom, any ideas?

Did a little testing before I posted, actually has nothing to do with the NavMesh, Brain just disappears at a certain point when moving towards the bottom of the scene, not sure what to do.

My character is not walking down or up(even though I have assets for U, UR, UL, D, DR, DL), but he is walking left and right inside the Nav mesh 2D. What could be the problem here??
