The course designer on this needs to pay all the vet bills and send out an apology

It’s really frustrating to see the horses refuse/fall in the same spot over and over again, as well as many other places. That just goes to show how bad the course ended up being this year. But props to the horses, they had to put up with this!

I wonder if the course designers actually tried this out for themselves before deciding that this was the absolute best course they could come up with.

Top horses and riders shouldn't find themselves struggling so much over the same obstacle.

If the fence in the first video was moved back a stride or two so the horse had time to see it and prepare themselves, fewer incidents would have happened, I think.

Poor horses! So many horses refusing the same fence, don't you think they are trying to tell you something?!

Love how this dude got up straight away and ran to assist his horse

0:37 the guy went straight to his horse even though he was probably hurting all over, that is true horsemanship

As a horse owner and rider I cannot understand why people risk the health or even the life of their horse in these competitions.

I think we need to start enforcing regulations when it comes to high impact courses like this, we can't keep pushing these horses and riders luck

0:41, a true equestrian not caring about himself after flying through the air and instead running to the horse and tryna help, they deserve an award
Also just wanna say its not the course thats bad its a certain jump thats bad as u can see there is not on fail that was on a different jump to all the others, i feel like they need to re think some of the jumps

I love horses and can’t say the same for any of these riders. They may choose to risk their lives doing this but the poor horses have not chosen that life. I would never dream of subjecting my horses to any activity that risked their health/lives.

Dont like these falls...by 5 star horses and top riders at same fences....down to the course builder I think....not what people want to see...honest horses...great riders....bad questions...👎

These horses are going to feel those impacts for the rest of their lives, even if they dont show it. I feel so bad for all of these horses but especially at the 3 minute mark. The poor horse hurt his face and neck really badly from that terrible fall

It’s that one fence after the brush that all of the horses don’t like, people really need to think these courses over a bit more 😅

Just dumb luck that another horse or rider wasn't killed. It should be exceedingly rare to have serious falls and rotational falls, yet in evening, it's almost expected. I stopped doing 3 day at 16 when my friend's horse was killed at a water jump in front of me. No one should be ok with rising their horse's life with every outing. I have done high-level SJ since my teens, and while accidents still happen, they are few and far between.

This course is just to dangrouse. I love cross country but THIS is just too much for the horses. This is when it becomes dangerouse if not even deadly for the horses and riders.

I haven’t watched a lot of these but I have never seen so many huge jumps made out of hard materials that could hurt or kill a horse. I don’t get the purpose of doing that just like I don’t get the purpose of four plus mile steeplechases where 30+ horses start and maybe 15 finish and at their worst horses die.

This level of cross country honestly needs to be banned. At least ban the jumps that have a gap in them
