This book series blew my mind. Totally changed how I see the universe. If this series is 50% as good as the books, it's going to change how people think about .... things.

Dont give me hope ... this trailer looks like it respects the source material ... just watching Je Wenjie do what we all know she was about to do gives me chills. This book series was profound for me. The description of the society at each stage of the book was fascinating - even when everything changes nothing ever changes due to the human nature being what it is.

Just read the trilogy this past year, loved it. Very interested to see how they handle "The Dark Forest" (if they make it that far) as that's where things start to get really wild

The series travels vast lengths of time and space - i had forgotten how cool the beginning was to me when I first read it. I bet this will be awesome in whatever way they adapt the story. Can't wait!

I saw the Chinese version and it was fantastic. All 42 episodes. This has a lot to live up to.

I've seen the Chinese version, its about 30 episodes, has a great start, but it takes time to reach the core issue of the story, lets hope the English version does a lot better.

The Tencent (Chinese) live action release of "3 Body" is an excellent adaptation of the book. It's obvious though that Netflix has a big budget for it. Tencent sticks nicely close to the book. It will be interesting to see how Netflix stays or strays to/from the book.

I wander if they are going to adapt the whole trilogy story and if so, how many hundreds of millions of dollars will Netflix have to invest in it when the story advances into the future storylines?

It starts small but in the third book the scale and scope of it is… amazingly enormous.

It's an absolutely amazing concept. And while I found the books to be a bit weak on characterizing it seems absolutely perfect for a series. This could be one of the really great sci-fi experiences. Can't wait.

Saw the Chinese adaptation and loved it. I get the feeling this won't be as good. The Chinese version is about 30 episodes long with a few changes to the book's plot, but still on point with the message and themes explored in the original work. Gringo versions are usually watered down and made to fit American culture and sentimentalities, as well as a thirst for the fantastic at the expense of a thought-provoking narrative. I'm not betting on this one.
