Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index Fund | Investing For Beginners 2022

We have spoken a lot about ETFs on the channel but never really touched on the great Index Funds that Vanguard have on offer. The Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index Fund is one of the best on the market, especially if you're looking for a cheap product that covers literally the whole global market.

If you want one fund and both large and small cap companies, look no further, this is he investments for you to make. Unlikely the S&P 500 it is exposed across the whole world. Unlikely the VWRL (Vanguard All-World ETF) it covers small cap companies. A bit of a Goldilocks if you will.

While I don't hold the fund in my own portfolio, if I was looking for a simple global fund with exposure to small caps, this would be the one for me!

I love the way you breakdown investment jargon into laymam terms. As a beginner, this is crucial. Very insightful and educational. Keep up the great work!

I can't understand how these dividends are paid out and I've had this fund for over 2 years now. They do show up in the corporate actions tab but they do not show up in the cash statement tab which makes sense as they are automatically reinvested, but my units do not increase and neither does the value of the fund. Pretty lost with this so might switch it to the FTSE All World ETF to see them come in every quarter.

73% in 6 plus years! - what sort of return could this potentially generate over 30 year period? i know its all speculative but thats some crazy returns

Another fund vs etf difference (I think!) is there’s no accumulation option for an etf so you need to keep reinvesting your dividends.

Could FTSE global all cap be the one and only investment I need to make or do I need others to balance it?

Hello. If I were to pick income/distribution, but reinvest in the ETF when it's paid out. Would compounding interest still work the same as accumulation?
I'm struggling to find some ACC ETFs, so I'll just go with income/distribution. Thank you.

As a 37 year old beginner to investing, do you think it’s fine to invest solely in the global all cap? Is it good for junior S&S ISAs too?

Do you know why the FUTSE all world UCITS ETF (VWRL) has increase from a level 5 to level 6 risk?

Hi, would you recommend this fund for a Vanguard SIPP? And is it worthwhile waiting to invest, in case it drops again closer to the £160 region it was at back in June? Or jump straight in as it is?

I have the S+P500 and the FTSE UK All Share Index Unit Trust. Im a newbie to investing and decided to have these two because as far as i can tell it gets me exposure to the US and my home market of the UK for around 0.7% OCF per index which ends up lower than the global funds right? Are there charges I'm overlooking? Im basically just missing out on Japan and Emerging Markets with this approach?

Question a bit off topic but do you know how to stop your dividends being reinvested?

I have a large amount due to selling the various funds I have and looking to buy Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index Investor. Is it better to put all 30k at once or better to drip it in each month?

What’s your thoughts on the Global All Cap vs Target Date Funds?

Does anyone know how Vanguard choose which companies not to invest in? I.e. there’s approx. 2, 000 companies in the FTSE Global All Cap Index that the fund doesn’t track - what influences this decision?

So in a way it's like the LS but with no UK bias
