Excellent video! I know this series is more for down and dirty medicinal uses, but Curly Dock seeds make excellent flour too.

I really enjoy this series Dave! It is a must know for people when the modern meds run out, if you are out for long periods of time.Nature is the best medicine! Hey Dave, could you do maybe a video on what a concoction is, what a stringent is and what is infusion? I use dried herbs, and preserve it in 90% or above proof of vodka or ever clear.I use some as tinctures.Powder others for teas. Thanks and GB!

Really enjoying this series. I have some of this growing in one of my vegetable gardens, and was wondering what it was. I tried eating it and it had a slight citrus flavour - like sorrel. I was going to cook a bunch up with garlic, but opted for just putting a few leaves in a salad. So glad I did that now after having watched this episode!!!!

this series is wonderful. I have been eyeing those plants for a couple of days. I see them along the roadsides everywhere. My initial thought was what you said it wasn't, so thanks for clearing that up and thanks for sharing...

Was eating the seeds in stew a cupple times a week for a month and a half. Good eating but the seeds taste best when they are green once they ripen the turn very bitter.

Thanks for your time and effort.

I love these videos. If you could perhaps go into a little more detail on identifying the plants, I think it would be helpful. Thanks.

We used jewelweed for treating stinging nettle this last summer in the field. They grow next to each other so it was convenient

I'm sure you have tried a camp saw. Those things will slice through a limb like butter and they're small. Nice to have with you instead of something large.

You can also try cutting chunks about an inch long then placing the flat of your blade on the chunk and pounding it with your fist, like you would a garlic clove.  That really helps break the fibers up and speeds up processing...though I'd crush it like that on the lid you're going to use so you can rinse it into the cup, not wasting any of the liquid that comes out.

awesome video. would it be possible to make a video with the 10 c's and go out in the woods with only those items and survive using all your skills and show where things go wrong and you are able to overcome them because a great deal of learning is in the problems and mistakes that occurred.thx
