I have a Samsung 55" LED TV, so I'm a fan, but under normal circumstances you shouldn't worry about LG quality...my old 4:3 LG monitor form 10 years ago still works beautifully. LG's a really solid company in all their products.

I had to order 3 10$ metal wall mounts and modify them to work, but it turned out good. The stand I bought is from amazon and its Huge and heavy-duty. The pic when you order does it no justice. And it's only around 79$ new. Good luck with everything!

Mine had backlight bleeding also, especially lower left was horrible and bled almost into the center of the screen. I returned it, but the store "technicians" didn't see it and when they finally did, they tried to brush it off as something other than the backlight. I got angry and kept going until they got fed up with me and I got a new one. Guess what, also backlight bleeding!! A little less and more evenly spread, but still there. Great job in ripping people off LG!!

Thank you. Any thing else I should know before I buy it? Are other issues? I never had a LG monitor before I've only used samsung monitors I'm really concerned about LGs quality and I never used an IPS monitor before. At the moment I got a 19 inch Samsung monitor res-1440x900 and I have to choose between the LG 23 EA63V-P and a 23 Samsung TN monitor which is 40 euros cheaper with the same characteristics as the LG monitor, I can not decide which one to pick. I'll be gaming mostly.

by Tyke Supply from Amazon, It took some customization but it works. I had to order x3 monitor wall hanging units and connect them to the stand (between stand and monitors). But it all worked out, I'll try to post pictures soon!

Doesn't change the awesome fact that you get 1250:1 real contrast ( that's REALLY good for IPS since IPS is normally around 800:1 real contrast ratio) which doesn't even change a litlle bit when you adjust the backlight of the panel.
The 96% of sRGB colorspace are great and the latency and reaction time are even good for gaming purposes. All this for just 260€. It's a really good monitor.

But, I saw the brightness at 100, and contrast at 70 or something...but how can you tolerate that much, it will be too bright right..!
I've the LG E2290V, Super-LED monitor with a TN panel & I'm completely in love with it, be the way it performs, the colors (i did some calibration) & the built quality & looks. (just 7.2mm thick). But if i put the brightness above 50, I will struggle, its that bright..though everything looks a whole lot awesome at those settings..!

I went from a 24" Samsung TN to this and it's better, the size makes it so much more immersive. There is a bit of back light bleed in the corner on my 277, but not the EA63V, but it's good for gaming because the overdrive setting increases the response time and makes framerate a bit less blurry when looking around in games. And in terms of it being a 1080p 27" it's just as sharp as my 24".
