Richard Saghian just bought another One

We haven't talked about Richard Saghian, Nile Niami, or The One for a while here on the channel. But Richard Saghian made headlines again because just ~9 months after spending $141 million on The One, he just picked up another mega mansion in Malibu for $40 million. This property is way different than the 105,000 square foot mega mansion that Nile Niami spent a decade building. It is ocean front, it has about 6,000 square feet, and it of course has great views. In today's episode we talk about this latest purchase for Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian.

The horror, the horror - Google Street View shows a public pedestrian access lane just to the right of the house from PCH down to the beach. Potentially peasantry might be seen strolling along the sand during cocktail hour. No wonder it was so cheap!

I've been watching vids posted to YT of mansions throughout the US & world (mainly Europe) that have ended up abandoned, dilapidated. The amount of time, skill & money invested in them decades ago makes their outcome even sadder. The line that best fits: "You can't take it with you." BTW, the real-life property shown in a TV show like "Downton Abbey" indicates building over-the-top homes like "The One" has occurred for centuries. Actually, Nile Niami's project comes off as small by old-time British standards. The One also has way less 1920's-movie-palace-type (gaudy) workmanship too.

I've delt with multiple Buff & Hensman homes in Pasadena. Boxy modern with precarious flat roofs, but quite valuable. Landry took this PCH home to his level. Nice!

Would be cool if you made a video on Danny Fitzgerald's properties in LA. He owns the houses that were rented out by Hype House and Faze. Now Swimply rents one out and another OnlyFans knock off group called Selfie Pop rents one of them. There's like 4 mansions side by side that are all rented out by influencers groups usually for some staggering lease prices. Definitely some interesting history with those homes. I think even American Idol rented out the house for a season

It’s just wild to see housing prices in California! I’m a realtor in Sarasota, Florida, which is a pretty expensive town. Someone could buy an oceanfront property here double the size, double the lot, for a third of the price!

it seems pretty normal to buy a 'little' coastal house in LA as a weekend house for people with some wealth. If you are 100mill net worth, it's no big deal. I would maybe on occasion rent and instead make sure the primary house has a view you don't want to leave.
