Is this the best version of Minecraft for Low End PCs? Today we find out and take a look at Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Subscribe to my Texture Pack channel @NotroDanPacks

Today we are going to be taking a look at The OTHER Minecraft version - Minecraft Bedrock Edition. This version a cross platform version of Minecraft on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, iOS and Android and actually runs a lot better than Java edition on Low End PCs. Let me know if you want to see more Minecraft videos on here again or if I should stick with my new channel for that. This isn't a Minecraft Java edition vs Bedrock edition video this is looking at it from a benchmark perspective I know this topic can be quite divisive.

I said to my friends ages ago that bedrock is optimised and easy to run, but no one believed me. Big shock to them😂

In my opinion bedrock is more optimised and less resource demanding but it has some disadvantages from Java too, Java is more capable with clients and shaders and we all can’t forget, optifine or sodium. Clients on bedrock are just resource packs with basic mods that barely help whilst Java is on a whole different level, you can optimise Java more but it either just get right below the fps you get in bedrock or way lower (it depends)

I have a toshiba with i3 370m IGPU 4gb, and both versions run great.
Java: a lot of performance mods.
Bedrock:its run 30 with 8 chunks.

Minecraft Java edition came out in 2009, 2011 is when pocket edition (renamed to bedrock edition, but still written in c++) was released.

This video is so good, you should change a lil bit of your setting so you can aim properly, like your FOV, Sensitivity, hotkey, and toggled sprint, and also some of fps setting, like unlimited frames, and can disable vsync so you can play much smooter

If you turn biome blend down it can also work a little better

The problem with Bedrock is DX11 requirements, and Windows 10. Java depending on the version of Minecraft will let you run on super old machines dating back to XP. There's few DX11 cards that run worse than OpenGL 3.3. My GL 3.3/DX10.1 NVS 2100M runs 1.20.4 at 900p 50% scale with Optifine at 40+ frames. You can do worse and still have a good time.

Your laptop CPU speed is stuck at 0.92 GHz which is not normal, Maybe try messing around with the powerplan. Or unpark the cores of the cpu

The recording software probably slowed down the pcs here.

I use Dell Inspiron 3521, with core i3, intel hd 4000 and only 4 gb of ram. 2gb are used by my Windows 8.
Mc runs ok, it is unplayable at times but it is "ok" with performance mods.

For me it's the opposite lmao, i get 90 to 200 fps on Java, while in bedrock i get 40 to 60 and it feels so delayed on bedrock, i can't even aim properly

Y'know. When i first found your channel and your videos about optimizing i was amazed and all of your tips helped out
I have a mid gaming pc and it runs vanilla windows 11 kinda well but with your optimization videos i made windows 11 faster and better than ever.
All i wanna say is thank you so much and i hope your channel gets to 1 million subs and beyond

JUST USE JAVA 1.8 OR OLDER WITH OPTIFINE.

I played the latest minecraft version on my low end laptop from 2010 and it did not run it well to say the least.

Just installed 1.8 optifine and set everything down to minimum (like I mean everything including view bobing, sky, particles, animarions etc.) And with unlimited fps it runs it easily and stabily around 120 fps. But due to laptops overheating you alaways have to cap the framefrate so I capped it to 30 at first and it was not a smooth experience, but then I capped it at 60 which is my refresh rate and it runs smooth like butter without even going warm.

USE JAVA 1.8 or older!

The amount of processes has nothing to do with the game, the game is always just one process. Judging the RAM usage of the game from the performance graphs is a very bad way to look at it, it doesn't graph only Minecraft's performance, it's the graph of total usage. You should look at the actual RAM usage of the game in the processes tab.
