I love hearing Donna and Keith so high in the mix at the beginning of Jack Straw; a rare treat.

Christopher Hazard, just a quick note to let you know this long time Deadhead certainly appreciates the work you accomplished here! I have seen many Cap Theater shows. Due to the amazing foresight of John Scher, shows were almost always filmed (not just the Dead, but a lot of great bands) in the 70s, but most all in b&w and of questionable quality. This project of yours exceeds ANYTHING I have seen to date and is one of the clearest captures of the Dead from the mid to late 70s I have ever seen! It also gives me much promise to think of what technology lies ahead in the future, so THANK YOU very very much, from the ♥️ of me!

This is some of the cleanest, best sounding footage I’ve ever seen of Jerry just absolutely playing brilliantly on his Wolf guitar.. he had a sore throat, but the show must go on! Amazing time capsule of a band that soon could never play a venue this small...they we’re heading to arenas and stadiums as their fans and legacy grew.🙏🔥

An unusually tight show for late '78. Love that Phil's playing Big Brown here

Beautiful job! One of the first crazy expensive bootleg albums I bought back in 79. Kinda stupid now but have listened to this show as much as any person who ever lived. My first show was May 78 so this period was magic for me.

I cannot thank you enough for posting this. I had a tape of this performance as a teenager that I listened to endlessly. I had no idea then tha the performance had been videotaped and recorded with such high quality sound. It's a miracle to be able to see what I listened to so often in my youth! This is such gem. Jerry is hoarse of voice (and who cares--gives it texture!) but the band is on FIRE. Surely the best version of "Big River" there is! Thank you thank you thank you!

Killer quality much appreciated..Can't wait for set 2.. Killer drum solo with Hamza and Mickey on the frame Drumz.. Very tippy if you get my drift.. had this on Cassette in the 80s as a teenager the quality was very good because it was recorded from the FM broadcast at one point Bobby says I guess you could call this dead air.. Jerry was just starting to get laryngitis and this was the last show before several were canceled.. The trip to Egypt took its toll perhaps..
