0:00 Intro

0:13 Principle 1

0:32 Zone 1
Bowl I use for my wallet, keys etc. is from Ikea and it’s called the “BLANDA MATT” and there are three sizes to choose from.

0:59 Zone 2
Stackable boxes are called “KUGGIS” from Ikea. Open-top easy-access bins are called “UPPDATERA” (also from Ikea)

2:08 Zone 3

2:30 Zone 4
My top shelf organizers are called ‘Magazine File’ by “KUGGIS” from Ikea.

👆🚨 ALERT: The labels I use are model 06468 but for some reason, I could not find them on Amazon (and only found these 58163’s that seem to be the same). You can also search directly on the Avery Website and order from them.

For GOOGLE DOCS Editable Avery Label Template:
👆🚨 DO NOT “Request Permission to Edit”. If you want to edit, you’ll need to make a copy for yourself in your own Google Drive. This is easily done by clicking “File” 👉 “Make A Copy” 👉 Follow the on-screen instructions to create a copy that you can edit in your Google Drive.
👆✅ TO EDIT: Each label in the Google Doc is actually a “drawing”, and to edit each drawing separately, simply double-click on any of them, and the label you double-clicked on will expand in a pop up which you can edit.

3:21 Principle 2
The Ikea “Elloven” computer monitor stand is one of my favourite home org/home decor items, and despite having ten of them peppered around my apartment, none of them has ever been used as a monitor stand, lol - all of them are shelf-splitters for my various Ikea Billy Bookcases.

When I click a Maurice notification, I'm quickly reminded I need to drop my default playback speed from 1.25x to Normal. 😄

Organization is what I live for and have very good systems in place and have for years! Maurice just taught me about removable labels that I honestly never even thought about. Old enough to be your mom, and this old dog, just learned a new trick! 👏👏👏 😊

the "Don't know (looks important)" bin is so shockingly practical. Such a good recommendation!

Don't even know what this video is about yet, but it's a Maurice video and that's all I need to know :)

I like your idea of of the little baggie that you can write on. I've done something similar. I repurpose those baggies that come with little items and then place a sticky note on the inside as a label. The description is written on the "backside" of the sticky note so when I put it in the baggie, the sticky note stays reasonably flat against the side of the bag while everything else is behind it. I have tons of sticky note pads and it is easy to repurpose those baggies that otherwise just get thrown out. YMMV. Thanks!

Another brilliant video! Thank you, Maurice. This video is most useful for a “slob” like me who wishes for everything to be neatly organized… Oh, the dichotomy! 😆

1. Replace your cables in the power area with shorter, just what you need lengths (not too hard to find). Coiled cables can get hot and catch fire in that un-ventilated cabinet. Also, less clutter. This is also the answer to home theaters and those pretty desktop setups. 2. You may want to buy a nightcore 4 slot battery charger (does the 3.7V lithiums and AA/AAAs). Buy a handful of AAs and AAAs (the eneloops are good). Just replace batteries as needed. When your supply gets low, buy another handful. Eventually, you won't need to buy batteries ever again.

I've been buying a tonne of white boxes thanks to your last video and it's been going great. Hopefully I can level up and start integrating this video into my life too!

I'm definitely saving this one for later. My place is a disorganized disaster zone. I can't find anything and never know where to put new things. This will come in handy when I finally decide to get my shit together.

I have lived by myself for many years, mainly because my home looks EXACTLY* like this and ordinarily this would drive another person bonkers.
Finally, I have found somebody else I could comfortably live with, and they would not drive me nuts LOL

* I’m not exaggerating. The only exception is that I don’t have a collection of pocket knives. Just two.
But everything else is the same, and I prioritise my things the same.
My charging drawer is way more organised and tidy though 😝

I also have a similar system but didn’t have a name for it. Now I do “urgency”. Also I too use that same monitor standard as handy storage next to my bed. It’s cheap and works great.

Love this. I think there should be a collab with an ADHD YouTuber organizer bc I think those styles are different but have efficacy in both areas.
