20 years later and I still love this movie series. 100 years from now, I'll still love it then and more.

*I can't explain how much this trilogy means to me and my father. We're watching it every year since I was a small child between christmas and new years eve. When the time comes for us to watch it again, it's like all bad and suffering is forgotton for this brief time and we're with these characters on their heros journey.

I read the trilogy and the Hobbit in the 70s. As I finished I wondered how they could create a movie with what I visualized in my head. I re read them again in the 90s.
Then when watching another movie, a trailer came on of The Fellowship of the Ring came on. I was so stoked, trailers are usually eehh. We saw all 3 at the movies and now have them on tape and DVD.
These have come closest to my imagination, though I saw some of the animated ones awhile ago
