In this video, I take the viewers through some problems on Length Contraction in Special Relativity. Length Contraction also known as Lorentz contraction or Lorentz-Fitzgerald contraction was proposed independently by Lorentz and Fitzgerald in the context of invariance of Maxwell's equations under Lorentz transformation in electromagnetic theory before the advent of Albert Einstein's special theory of Relativity. The true importance of length contraction was understood once relativity arrived as it naturally fit into the scheme of things in Special Relativity. It is one of the fundamental effects in Einstein's theory as the length of objects contract in the direction of motion for observers in relative motion with respect to the objects.Further to our lecture video on the topic of length contraction, this problem solving video is a much needed one for students preparing for various entrance and competitive exams in physics. This video is also useful for students doing undergraduate courses in physics to inculcate problem solving skills in them. The problems discussed in this video span wide range in terms of difficulty. The problems discuss length contraction in a variety of situations ranging from length contraction of objects aboard a spacecraft to length contraction of distance traveled by elementary particles arriving at the earth. The viewers are encouraged to work out the solutions themselves before verifying with the solutions given in the video. It is sincerely hoped that the viewers would find the problems as intriguing and engaging as we did while solving them.

Can I show you my thesis about quantum gravity. In my mind quantum gravity is resultant energy, mass, momentum, electric charge between particles and anti particles.
