A Syrian friend of mine today said that she and most of her Arab friends hated the Al-Assad regime and rejoices at its downfall. But, she also said that now she waits in trepidation to see what the new "Syrian Taliban" will do to her beleaguered former home.

They weren't a good government but they left a few dams, kilometres of paved ways, thousands of government made homes and official buildings, infrastructure. What came after them were 100 times terrible. Slaughtered people for fun, banned women and girls from going out to schools or jobs. Even ripped electricity cables from poles and underground and sold them.
Same happened to Iraq and Libya. The gift of west and usa.
They will do whatever is the price to achieve their goals doesn't matter if millions of people are killed in the process. And then sends aid through UN like they care.
