You're right about chlorine evaporating as it's a gas, but fluoride is a mineral and does not evaporate. The same is true of calcium, iron, magnesium and other minerals that you might have in your local tap water. (It varies everywhere.) To make things worse, apparently some municipalities use chloramine instead of chlorine and that doesn't evaporate either. Leaving your water out just allows a little bit of water to evaporate and very slightly increases the concentrations of everything that's dissolved in the water. So that's why you've got a bit of water damage.

I don't think you need to do shorter videos, by the way. Long is fine. As everyone else has said, your voice is very pleasant and it just feels like hanging out with you while you talk about plants. Keep it up!

You are so cute, and I love your voice. I don't know why my little prayer plant is STILL alive. I looked at a video last winter to find out why my plant wasn't growing. They said don't water them often, that the Maranta should only be watered when it is dry. Then I watched a video that said the Maranta needs watering constantly. Another video said only distilled water will do. I started letting my tap water sit overnight to evaporate the chlorine then watering my plant, and SHE LOVES IT. But she only grows a new leaf maybe once a month. I'm gonna watch more of your videos, so I know what to do.
