In this clip, Christian nationalist pastor Joel Webbon says people are cowardly and dumb and "must be governed" by a leader who will "outwardly legislate in accordance with God's law" and forced everyone to "at least ... pretend to be Christian."

I like how he just openly states he's OK with people being insincere and faking it.

Problem with his "Christian" nationalist propaganda is that Yeshua of Nazareth never once even remotely suggested that His followers should have dominion over ANYONE, or that non-believers should be coerced into living according to "biblical" standards. What Christ DID say was, "My Kingdom is NOT of this world". Plus He said to love your neighbor as yourself, and if you're forcing your neighbor to live according to your own personal "interpretation" of scripture, that is pretty much the opposite of loving them.

After yesterday's video of this cleric, I did a little YouTube searching. I found some really creepy stuff, including a video in which he goes on at some length about how he is in complete control of his wife;s reading material.

I don't recall hearing anyone say they were worried about forced conversion. I do know I've heard lots of people say they're worried about being forced to live according to religious rules.

First, you don't get to decide what is "the right direction" for governance. Second, and just as important, the laws of this country declare that "the good of the church" shall play no role in the governance of the state.
