The Wealth, has already been redistributed.  The Wealth has been collected from a multitude of individuals and concentrated in the hands of a few.

Yes, the family is an important socio-economic unit. That's why we should have marriage equality in every state.

And I agree that redistribution of wealth doesn't work. That's why we should end corporate welfare, get rid of the loopholes that allow them to pay no taxes and crack down on phony offshore tax havens. We should also stop giving huge subsidies to the richest corporations on earth.

In addition, we should increase taxes being paid on capital gains to the percentage the rest of us pay on our wages so that the Warren Buffets of the world don't get away with a tax rate that's half that of their secretaries.

Wealth redistribution has been going on far too long, but it has been the top 1% and corporations stealing the middle and working classes blind. Why don't right wingers ever talk about that? And more importantly, why do the very victims of their wealth redistribution schemes keep voting for them?

Social issues, of course. The old smokescreen of god, guns and gays.
