Amen! My Mum had Parkinsons and demonstrated Grace all the way through to the day she passed on. She finally had a beautiful passing.

She was one of the unwritten Saints, there are many!

I could only hope to be remotely like her.

Conforming ourselves to Gods will is the ultimate good but the ultimate good is not always going to be comfortable and, this side of eternity, will be wrought with suffering. However, accepting the suffering you go through and suffering for the sake of your eternal life and others makes the suffering a good thing.

This short calls to mind what Pope Benedict XVI said "we are not spigot of grace but to be buckets of grace. We are to store up and then overflow God's grace on the others and the world". (Sorry I didn't look up his exact quote, just from memory. )
No Contradictions here. You what we should do and Him how we should do it.
Benedict's teaching is hard because it forces us to slow down and anchor ourselves. It does not encourage us to be frantic. The toughness of his saying reveals its truth or how true it is.
