Damn it bro 💀 why you gotta put the uz on blast my guy. One of the last few affordable Engines with stupid reliability & astronomical potential straight up smooth beast of a motor

Just get a 3UR- FE The 5.7l v8 comes stock with 381hp and ad supercharge from there found in tundras and sequoias starting in 07 good for up to 600hp on stock internals

The 2uz is a decent platform, there isn't a massive aftermarket but you can definitely get more aggressive camshafts and a forged bottom end, but it's a lot more of a pain.

My truck had this motor I was childish back then truck saw redline every day. Literally never changed the oil in 13k miles fucker still runs like a new truck

Forgot about the 3uz. Got the super off a cobra, now pushing 410whp. Only needed the adaptor plate, since the ecu is ever learning and fuel system is over engendered.

Bruh Toyota engines are legit goated, my family had a 94 Camry with the V6 and that mf was solid, and this was a car and motor that was built around the time I was born and only died because my sister decided to drive it from Wildwood, New Jersey to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania without oil in it... It made it to Philly, it just couldn't make the 82-143 mile trip back

Not to mention they are super reliable as well, been a Toyota tech for almost 20 years and have seen very very few failures of these engines.

Thank you for touching on this behemoth of a engine. Ran from the yknow who in a 1st gen sequoia. I was late af to work and ig he got me doing probably 90 on the frontage road getting on the hway. Had no idea he was there til i saw the lights in the rear view just barely( i had dark tint). Figured hes already thinking im running so i didnt stop. He did, but he had a unit ahead of me and he didnt pop me. I was so confused. Different time of my life fs but i got work 10 min late 😅

I like how you think. I would like it in a celica or a venza lol. I know both of those are fwd but they would handle nicely with a rwd engine like that. I like how you think

Check out Sarah n tuned! She has an amazing Toyota V8 swap in a 80s Toyota Celica! Epic 💯💯💯

Only problem is the 2uz has 2 bolt main caps, so it cant handle too much boost like the 1uz’s 6 bolt main caps 😔

I wonder if I can do something with my 3ur-fbe (2016 tundra 5.7 flex fuel)

Thinner walls so reinforce those. And yes they are crazy. Prefer the 1uz less work on making sure they don't crack
