This was NOT a "policy violation", this was a civil rights violation.

I don't think more training will make that female deputy stop being crazy or make that male deputy stop being a coward.

They admitted that they were tyrants openly said so. They should have their law enforcement certification removed so they can’t do this to anyone else anywhere else.

They deputies were wholly in the wrong in detaining Hodges for NO REASON. The female deputy should be fired. Nonetheless they should be sued for civil rights violations and wrongful arrest.

Civil rights violation, false arrest, falsification of an official report, Making false statements on a court document-the statement of charges are deserving of more than a 2 day or even a 7 day suspension. As a retired Sheriff's Lt. I am ashamed of the actions of these two deputies. Criminal charges should have been preferred.

So if I lay hands and cuff an officer I can just say it was a mistake and get some training?

How about some remedial training in what a firearm looks like ?

Victim: "Are you a tyrant?" female cop: “ yes I am a tyrant"

Be striped of any qualified immunity that they enjoy. Face criminal trial. And if found guilty of assault then face some time behind bars. You see: All the training in the world can't fix certain problems and quite clearly these two officers have some very serious problem. Attitude, ego, power-crazed, and a feeling of immunity from consequences.

If that was NY, NJ, CT, MD, MA, or DE, the Sherriff would have had the exact opposite response, only EXCEPT if Hodges was a 'protected class' person.

This is not a training issue. This is a character issue. Get rid of these bad cops and replace them with officers who can pass a psychological profiling test to at least mitigate the risk of empowering people like these two officers.

And they haven't been charged for making purjurious statements on their reports for what reason?

Wasn’t even a firearm. It was a walking stick. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Should have fired both Deputies. Sheriff is totally responsible for his deputies. The law suit is gonna be huge $$$ . Calling Sue Settlement.

Everyone has seen the video, officers need to be fired with notes in their file and their law enforcement certificate pulled.
Those penalties are a joke.

it's been 7 days even more by now, are you telling me that both those officers are back on the force? That is a TERRIBLE decision to put them back on the streets with this huge amount of power and responsibility, those two should get PERMANENT punishments and not a few days of suspension and trainig.
