Pat's Steaks' brick-and-mortar location in South Philadelphia is back open after months of renovations and serving out of a food truck parked outside. New to the menu at the revitalized 94-year-old cheesesteak shop are breakfast sandwiches and chicken cheesesteaks, with third-generation owner Frank Oliveri telling Howard Monroe he wanted to appeal to customers who might not want red meat.

Pats are way better than Geno’s. Geno’a menu consist of the “Talk English or Go Back to ur Country Steak” and “I’m Racist on Bad Bread” and “The How am I still Here Sandwich With on Only One Person In The Line” which I personally recommend to get you to cross the street to Pat’s for a proper “Onions With”.

I’m not from Philly but everything I hear about pats/genos is they are merely tourist traps which cheap meat/bread and not much portion size.
