I'm glad this was called contested bones and not bone contest.

I was raised as a young earth creationist. I have recently deconstructed and abandoned my religious beliefs. At the age of 37, I am learning from you things that were withheld from me in private christian school. Thank you!

Brandolini’s Principle—the amount of time to debunk BS is vastly higher than the effort to create it.

It’s amazing how they mostly argue with adjectives instead of data. The bones are “jumbled” or “muddled” or “fragmentary” or “disappointingly incomplete”…ok but you still have to describe and explain their morphology in detail.

1m30s has the same energy as “….do you know why i use a knife….guns are too quick, you can’t savor…all the little emOTIONS” lol

Also; you are more than charitable in these videos. You give them the time of day which is way more than they do for you.

Man!! I may be a chronic lurker who never comments, but the doofy smile on my face when I saw another Library of Errors video warranted one haha— funnily enough I just finished rewatching the earlier parts and was wondering if the series would ever continue! I love listening to your content while I’m at work, it’s definitely helped re-spark my love of the natural world and science generally :))
Always super excited to see more from our favorite Carsick Catarrhine ;))

I’m enjoying the fact you’ve got back to debunking this pair of fools and their ridiculous Book. Thank you, Erica. 👍👍👍✖️

I love your unapologetic no tolerance attitude toward the willfully ignorant, grifters, conmen, and snake oil salesman. It's One of the reasons why I don't miss any video you post. I come here for your knowledge and I stay for your unabashed snark.

I fucking love this girl

More accurately, I massively admire her knowledge and also that she's not afraid to have realistic conversations with very shallow-thinking or at least uninformed 'religious' homo sapiens who willfully want to argue that "God did it" is an answer to everything that they can't explain. When I was around 11 years old I went through a phase where I was really into paleoanthropology, mostly after I found an old November 1985 National Geographic magazine with the article "The Search for Early Man" which I read over and over and memorized the names of all the hominids on the family tree. I really appreciate that Erika is passionate about her subject and thorough with her explanations :) Would buy her a beer or something if she lived closer :)

Thrilled to hear you have other entries for the Library of Errors planned. I almost emailed to suggest The New Creationism after recently learning that it's still used as a textbook at the Christian college i attended...

I so admire your efforts to dispel ignorance and malicious disinformation. You certainly have your work cut out for you. Carry on.

My parents subscribed to the Time-Life science series, and Clark Howell classified Homo habilis as “advanced Australopithecus”, refusing to use Leakey’s classification, but that was the late 1960’s. Howell was very much a “lumper”.
