A to B might be good for beginners but eventually doing tre flips in straight line is the way to go. Nothing beats that feeling when you got the board to tre flip in a straight line directly under your feet. You just need to have a good scoop.

I wish someone told me about the A to B hack sooner but I had to figure it out on my own. Once I started doing that I started catching my Tre's and landing them consistently.

Try it out! Also start doing body squats and calve raises, it will help you to pop your tricks higher. Wish I did them years sooner.

I’ve been doing tres for a while now it’s super important to have lots of weight and pressure on ur back right wheel so the board pressure scoops. Also try not to jump from A to B, try to keep it under you ( scoop inward more than back) so you prevent any bad scooping habits in the future.

It’s amazing how much you can learn in 42 seconds. I’ve been trying treflip and I think this will help thanks 👊

I get your approach but 360 flips are very different person to person. While they usually end up looking fairly similar once you're comfortable the learning stance can be super different depending on the person. If you jump too far over put you scoop foot closer to the point of the tail. Same goes for the opposite. If the board flips but it can't keep up with you then lean a little bit further back and focus more on putting you front foot down first. If you're throwing them out in front of you put your shoulders over your knees. The most useful tip I've ever heard over the years is to spread your feet when you go to land, like spread them (nose to tail) much wider than you think you should and that will help you not only stick them but keep from landing with your feet hugging the bolts or right in the center. Don't get discouraged, it takes a ton of energy to do them the wrong way so it can be super tiring to learn.

Also it’s not very comfortable but if you make your front foot more horizontal on the board that thing will for sure flip under your feet

Weird thing to mention, type of shoe youre skating affects where youll want to have foot placement. Flat topped like traditional low vans will want a diff front foot placement than say chunky topped shoes like DCs or Yeezys

to get them in a straight line instead of A to B, pop straight down instead of focusing on scooping

P.S. The a to b thing works so well for hardflips too if you jump the other way and back

Its possible to do tre-flips without jumping forward. Check out Dan Corrigans tre-flips. He jumps straight up. This tip is great for learning how to control the wild feeling that tre-flips have to beginners

Great simple trick tip tho, keep it up, man

It’s not staying in place cause of your front foot placement ✅ also! I highly recommend using your hip to power through the scoop, don’t expect the power to come soley from yo leggies

Tramline technique. 360 flipping from one track to another. That’s how I learned wayyy back. Hardest thing is going from that to 360 flipping on a single track again 😅

I’m nowhere close to landing treflips (can barely do shuvs consistently) but I’ve noticed it’s easier for me to get more spin by putting my back foot in the middle of the tail

I guess it depends on the style.. i could stay A to A. I keep my back shoulder even more back then the rear bolts keeping my hips aligned with the bolts. Good explanation though ❤
