HOI4 Custom Image (Portait/Leader) mod tutorial

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
1. If your mod will work for every game version, enter ONLY * for the version number. That way the mod will never show up as outdated.
2. After importing your image to GIMP, please navigate up to image, then mode, and make sure RGB is selected.

In this video, I'll show you the basics of HOI4 mod creation and uploading for the safe replacement of vanilla / DLC content, such as leader portraits. If you wanna make custom stuff like countries later on, this tutorial will still definetly be helpful!

Does it also work in the German Version, to change the Leader Portrait? I tried but nothing changed.

For some reason I can only find the files of the political leaders part of the party that is initially in power (so for example with France I can only find Blum and Laval) is it normal? How do I change the image for other parties leaders, if possible?

Very usefull video, thanks a lot! I did run into a problem though... The mod I made was working fine but now all of a sudden I get the error: "the path in this mod descriptor file is invalid or does not exist hoi4". I'm not really sure how to fix it. Maybe you or someone in the comments can help me?
