Hey Fr. Chris. I had almost the exact, word for word, experience that you had. One night, about 2-2.5 weeks ago, I decided to pray a Rosary by myself for the first time since 9th grade. I’m 24 now, so it’s been quite a long time. I said on the intentions part “I submit to You and your Son’s will for whatever it is you plan for me” and as soon as those words left my mouth, I got this feeling of nearly infinite love. There are no words in the English language that can express what I felt, it was so amazing that it left me shattered, body and soul. I absolutely bawled my eyes out, . It was terrifying at first, but then while that was happening, I had the most pungent and wonderful smell of roses in my room for roughly 10-15 seconds. It was so amazing, I will never forget it as long as I live. It was like the Blessed Mother put her cloak over me. It was will always hold that memory, and it absolutely wrecked me (in the most wonderful way). I now pray the Rosary almost daily, with every once in a while missing it. And funny enough, right after that, this video of you got recommended to me directly after the video I use to keep track of my Rosary. Your testimony showed to me I wasn’t crazy, and that our Blessed Mother works in the best of ways. Thank you again Father!

When my sister and I were teenagers, I asked her to pray the Holy Rosary. I had just learned to pray it, too. So we knelt against our open bedroom window and started to recite it. Sometime after the the first decade, we continued when suddenly we both smelled the strong scent of roses wafting to us. There were no roses nearby. We both stopped and looked at each other and we both could smell the beautiful scent of roses. It was the only time we smelled roses when we recited the Holy Rosary. ❤

I had a similar experience with Mary in 1985. I had no devotion to her whatsoever, but had a mystical dream (that was more real than a dream) where the light shining from her penetrated my heart, which let me know how loved I was. I could physically feel a burning in my chest of love all the next day. Years later I did a full consecration to her.

I was raised a protestant, nominal Creaster Christian. I had a divorce, abandoned, two daughters through the process for a new marriage. Married a young man, a Catholic-first marriage was annulled. I became a Catholic 20 years into our marriage. Shortly after joining, I was folding laundry in our bedroom, listening to a chant DVD, and suddenly the room was filled with the strong fragrance of flowers. I thought at the time, where did this come from, what is it? I knew it was mystical- but I was still learning about the Church. It was years later that I found out that roses and the fragrance was associated with Mary. It blew me away. Today I Marvel that’s such a sinner in my young life could’ve had such a profound experience, presence of Mary. I am still overwhelmed, thinking about it.

I'll keep this short. (First, I did not know we weren't to ask for signs.) In March, 2012, I was financially hopeless but received a letter from the state where they would help me. I immediately put all my faith and trust in God as I then realized He had always been there for me. 9 months later, just prior to Christmas, I had a gentleman approach me with these words: "Jesus told me to tell you that everything is going to be alright." 10 seconds is all it lasted. That was my sign and I have been 100% with God and Holy Mother Church since that day in March, exemplified again by that day in December. How would I love to smell the roses of our Blessed Mother? Indeed, what a heavenly aroma that would be.

Hi Fr. Chris, at the time of my worst sinner stage in my life, my wife an I also experience the blessing of rose ambient smell only at the center of our king bed, if we move few inches outside the center the smell wil disappear and we get to the center is there for few minutes. That happen two times, same place.
Our blesses end mother was telling me very clear to pray the Rosary, I did not listen till I was at the bottom of my life and really hard marriage conditions peaked in life many years later.
Thank God he never left our side even when the Devil was at its peak attacking me and the family, saw the video song of Devine Mercy and started to pray the Rosary with mother Angelica till this day every day; now we are in better spiritual condition but struggling with the consequences from those bad times.

Amen. I was long struggling with pornography and couldn't kick it. She appeared one night in my bedroom. Full of power. I 'saw' her standing near the foot of the bed. I was struck with awe and unable to move. I knew that Christ had sent her to help me, and she is with me yet. I now do all my prayers and adoration of Jesus through her.

I bought a rosary in Rome 13 years ago for a friend but never got a chance to send it to her (living from the other country) so I kept it. I was a cradle catholic but lukewarm that time and don't go to church anymore. After watching a few videos of Fr Chris Alar on Divine Mercy Youtube Channel, I decided to have that rosary blessed by a priest. That same night in my deep sleep at around 3am, I was woken up by a strong smell of roses! I found it as a sign to come back to my faith and started praying the rosary. Thank you Fr. I had the same experience with the rose smell. It was so strong i thought rose water was put into the air conditioner. 🌹 Little did I know that I was receiving a blessing. Long story short, I am now a very content Catholic and having gone through the RCIA program for three straight years I received the vest theological education I could have ever received.
