Sometimes you don't have time for a low n' slow cook or you decide the day of you way pulled pork.... Have no worries I have you covered, at 350 degrees you can have a good sized pork butt done in about 5 hours!!! Give it about 3 hours until the color looks just right, wrap it tightly in foil and keep cooking about 90-120 minutes until it is probe tender. A short rest on the counter and viola..... PULLED PORK!!!

Great method. I went at 325 degrees for two pork shoulders which extended the time quite a bit over 5 hours, a little bit over 7 hours, but that is soooo much better than the 10-11 hours when doing the slow and low method. To be honest, the finished product was BETTER with this method, IMO. If anyone is concerned with smoke flavor, you can start it low temps for the first hour and then bump it up. But I didn't really notice much flavor loss.

Thanks, I used this method again today on my 1100 Flagship. 5 lb boneless was 3 hours to set. two 8-9 lb bone in was 5 hours to set. Came here looking for '350' degree as set.

I stopped wrapping them and finish it in a slow cooker since it's not gonna get smoke anyway and its 🔥 with less baby sitting

Very nice. Is there a downside to cooking it that fast?

is there a temp we want the butt to hit before wrapping? Or, just go by three hour timing?

So cook it at 350 to cook pork butt in 6 hrs also do spritz your butts with apple cider or appl juice?

At what temp was it when you wrapped the pork butt

Could you just put them in a foil pan covered with foil instead of wrapping?

I like the way the reqteq doesn't create that black bark. I've had 2 pork cookouts and it was outstanding. They cooked it for about 6-7 hours and there was great smokey flavor. Everyone loved it!

Works great but the smoke flavor was lacking cooking that hot. I might try to cook on Lo for an hour first next time and then crank it up.
