Here’s my honest review of the 2021 Toyota RAV 4 Adventure — a small SUV that’s BIG on style, performance and practicality!

I drove this very same trim a couple of months ago from a rental in FL and although I drive an X3, there is something charming about the Rav4 that I liked. I guess it's "no drama" driving dynamics and its practicality are very alluring. Plus... there is the reliability factor for long term owners.

I got a 2021 Adventure with JBL premium package (11 speakers)with the subwoofer in the trunk, panoramic sunroof and 2 colors seats, really love the design!

Really good review mate, I've been watching these reviews for a while and have just ordered Rav4 adventure hybrid. This review helped, thanks. I'm from New Zealand and I understood your accent fine. People notice and bring up such odd things. Great job.

A friend of mine just got a used 2020 RAV4. I was so impressed with it. Especially the space inside given that I have a toddler and sometimes my 2017 Escape comes up short in that department. Plus, the aesthetic design is just so masculine and rugged looking compared to previous generations.

It also has torque vectoring awd. It uses 3 differential clutch packs instead of 1. Only the Adventure, Trd, and limited have it. Also more ground clearance.

So I just purchased the 2024 rav4 trail and here in Canada that’s same as your adventure but they have added the standard heated seats and steering wheel, sunroof, power lift gate and the bigger screen like you suggested

A giant "25K Subscriber" banner over the entire car when talking about the exterior was a nice touch

So glad that Toyota has not spoiled this or the Camry by adding a stupid turbo and an even more stupid CVT. I believe this is the same power train that comes in the Camry and Highlander, very good choice and you have not lost your touch, amigo. Hope to see more vehicle reviews.

Is this lift gate a power lift gate? Looked like just manual when you lifted it?

seriously thinking about trading in my Tacoma for this Baby, I've got back issues and the Tacoma's too rough on my back especially any long distance. I had a back fusion so and the surgery failed so I'm thinking about checking one of these out. Plus I think my wife will like it better than the Truck. Since its smaller and this will be much cheaper on gas as well and it's looks better with the new interior.

Don’t waste your money, I bought the 2019 and literally HATE myself for it. I drive a lot and have put around 75k miles on it in three years but I’m actually glad because longevity and dependability is supposed to be Toyota’s calling card and I have literally had issues with this car from day one. First off, the AWD system (torque vectoring) is loud and clunky sounding when driving with the windows down (you get this clickity clank clank as you’re slowing down at around 18-20 mph that you can hear when driving through neighborhoods or Low trafficked areas), I also had to have the electromagnetic clutch replaced because of a moaning, groaning noise, only to have the noise return recently. The electric tailgate struts work when they want to and when looking replacing them (the motor is in the strut assembly) you’re looking at over $1000 even if you try to do it yourself by ordering the parts (they’re around $450 each). I’m also getting an “engine maintenance required” message (not the oil change “maintenance required” one but something else apparently related to the cooling system) that NO ONE at toyota knows what to do about because it’s not throwing any codes, but the message is literally always there and has been for over a year. So yeah, don’t waste your money, Toyota isn’t the company they used to be and I won’t ever buy another toyota (it’ll be Mazda for me when I can get out of this tin can).
