If they keep overbooking, then people aren’t going to go on their cruises. They are paying real money for a real experience not to wait in line for hours and get on a ship to be told that you have to leave. Ridiculous this is so unprofessional.

Some people can rearrange their schedule but others can't just take another vacation at work to take a different cruise that summer. I book my vacations at work 5 months in advance.

The stated compensation is of little use when cancelling flights and hotel reservations. Depending on the age of those involved they’ve already taken their work allocated leave, you can’t just move it to another week without any issue.

Let’s just make this really simple: once you are 90 days away from departure your cabin is guaranteed in every sense of the word. In this case it’s less than seven days, a total piss take by Royal.

If I were a local, absolutely! But then again, I never select a ‘guaranteed’ cabin to avoid this exact scenario.

If people work for companies or factotiea where are not easy to take PTO, they can't take the deal.

For someone who lives local to the cruise port it's a great deal. I'd probably take the refund if it was out of a place I want to take a land vacation, but leaving from New Jersey that would be rough since I have to fly to any cruise port I pick.

Bermuda cruises are with the smaller ships they can’t support the larger class ones.

I guess if you see it as a bonus cruise. But Liberty isn't Icon. Try again for Icon next year I guess.
