The Folklore of the Hedgehog. Magical Hedgehog Folklore From Around the World.

This episode is all about the wonderfully cute Hedgehog. These mysterious little animals have been associated with 'edge-lands' and liminal spaces over the centuries. Their strange folklore spans the globe, and it can be very dark at times, and yet they are loved as one of the most delightful of wild animals. Among other topics hear about their associations with fairies and witches, how they are viewed in cultures around the world and some lovely international folk tales about how clever these little creatures are in world mythologies. And all this accompanied by gorgeous art and photography!
