That first story reminds me of the Dennis Martin disappearance. In 1969 at the age of 6 he disappeared on a family trip to the Great Smoky Mountain park in Tennessee. Eye witnesses said they saw a man running holding something red over his shoulder & jumped into a white car. Dennis Martin was wearing a red jacket.The search effort was the most extensive in the park's history, involving 1, 400 searchers & covered a 56 square mile area. He was never found.
