The 🤯 Anatomy of Breastfeeding ✨Bodies are AMAZING✨

Показать описание
Our bodies are truly amazing! When your baby suckles, it activates nerve endings in your nipples. This stimulation signals your pituitary gland to release two crucial hormones: prolactin and oxytocin. Prolactin is responsible for triggering the alveoli in your breasts to draw nutrients from your bloodstream and convert them into breast milk. On the other hand, oxytocin stimulates muscle contractions that push the milk out of the alveoli and through the milk ducts, facilitating milk flow during breastfeeding. Oxytocin can also trigger contractions in your uterus, helping it return to its pre-pregnancy size. Lastly, both prolactin and oxytocin play a key role in fostering a strong emotional bond between the mother and her baby.
