While most EV head would argue for Model Y or Mach E. The Bolt is just about all most people needed. Now if only they made an Ultium version with faster DC charging.

This is such a compelling offering for a no nonsense EV that just works.

This is definitely an EV I'd be interested in buying. You said it well in the video: "A normal car that just happens to be electric". As cool as Rivians and Teslas and high-end EV offerings are, this is what most of us are going to end up with. I don't mind manufacturers flexing what EVs are capable of, but if they want EVs to catch on, they've gotta start making more stuff that the average citizen can afford to own. I just need a car that can make my 100 mile daily commute, don't care much for all the extra junk and luxury. I think once my work installs chargers in our parking lots, I will honestly consider picking one of these up.

Looks like a good buy if you want a commuter EV. Well equipped probably one of the most affordable EVs out there. This is about 15k less than the cheapest Model 3

As a 2017 owner, I definitely have gotten attached to this car. It fits my lifestyle like a glove, not including long road trips. It is super fun around the city and its size is absolutely perfect for narrow parking. Interior volume feels 20% larger than the external size would suggest. Power is impressive, assuming you can find traction (stock tires are low friction for efficiency); same story with handling, loses traction very quickly but the chassis rotates impressively.

Excellent city and commuter vehicle on all fronts. Premier trim (now only on EUV) impresses with the technology and sound system, but cheaper materials are present. Excellent power and good range, but slow charging speeds prevents trips more than 350 miles. Dynamic chassis with low center of gravity, but poor performing eco tires means loud screeching in cornering. Fascinating and joyful car!

We have two of them. 😁😁. Chevy typically undersells its range, too. (We started with plug-in hybrid Volts in 2012 and went to full on EV Bolts in 2018, so we've had 10 years of experience with these cars.) We've always surpassed the stated range. We've been averaging about 265-275 miles on the Bolts. Doing this as a POV was a great idea.

I just bought the 2022 Bolt EV 2LT and am very happy with it. It checked off 2 things that I needed: 1. small size 2. Will get me to point A and to point B, several times before I need to charge it. 3. affordable

Gosh that turn signal sound brings me back to the days of riding in my grandparents Astro as a kid. If I mainly drove in town and hardly ventured on the highway, this car would be just about perfect

My brother has this car and I enjoy driving it when I can. On the outside it looks small but on the inside it’s very roomy and comfortable. Visibility is like being in a Cockpit. I love over taking combustion engine cars in traffic especially pick up trucks, Mercedes and Dodge chargers. The instant torque is amazing when needed . However, when you drive it aggressively it does use up the battery fairly quickly . I’ve seen the display read 350 miles on a full charge but depending on how you drive it’s probably around 250. The biggest gripes my brother has is the charging . At home when he charges over night he’ll get around 50 miles . When he goes to charging stations, it can be tough to find one that is not being used. Fast charging can cost just as much gasoline. If he chooses a slower charging option it takes 2-3 hours. If he picks the slowest charging (which is usually free) he only gets 25 miles an hour. Sometimes a charging station will be out of order . This car is best in the city where stop and go traffic charges the battery with regen braking and the abundance of chargers . If you do long highway commuting Teslas seem to be the better choice with their longer range and way superior charging network .

Nice simple EV for just people looking to get around. And you can't beat that price.

With fuel prices rising I feel this will sell quite well.

That price change is huge. I've been seeing a lot more of these on the road in the last couple months

My father daily drives the 2020 version of this car and I get to use it pretty much whenever I need. It's really good to drive, and despite its average range my father has managed to do pretty long golf road trips with it without spending any extra time charging than during the times he would stop anyway (ex: to eat, to sleep etc.). I'd say the only things I like less is the steering (it's quite light and honestly feels numb, which I don't particularly like on the highway) and the seats (I'm 6'0 and I feel cramped in them, but for shorter people they're fine, but they're also pretty hard). I think I've heard that they upgraded the seats for the new version, which is awesome, and honestly at this new price point the drawbacks really aren't important.

Looks like a good EV for around town stuff if you already have a gas car for longer distances. Small size is nice too. I'll bet this thing is pretty fun with stickier tires too.

I am an old retired guy; this would be an ideal vehicle for my Target and Aldi runs if I had a way to recharge it at home (apartment dweller). Will have to keep my Camry!

It ticks all the boxes 📦 Very impressive . Great design .

This Chevrolet Blot EUV looks good in red.

Great job with your content as always bro.

Doesn’t the wheels squealing on curves bug you? It’s pretty loud and noticeable, plus the bumps from the lines in the road.

Are there others tires one can change to remedy this?

There was your Bolt, that Bolt EUV, right before you pulled up to the light a blue previous gen Bolt drove by and then this awesome orange colored one at the end! In the process of getting a 2022 for under $20k with only 11k miles!
