Amorim typically plays 2 attacking wingers on the sides. This year sporting is playing with Quenda, Catamo and Nuno Santos (all attacking wingers converted into wing backs). Also the way the team attacks is not like the commentator says. There is one holding mid coming back to build play and the 2 side central defenders have freedom to move forward. That’s why I think Dalot will maybe become a right central defender. The 2 wingers are really the question mark in my opinion. They are typically young and have to run a lot and show up on the opposition box when there is a cross. They are more wingers that defenders and definitely the key players of the 3421. Amorim tends to adapt offensive players to that position. Garnacho, Diallo and even Antony and Rashford will probably be tried there. My bet for starting 11: onana, Yoro, de light, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, ugarte, Luke shaw (wing back), garnacho (wing back), Bruno Fernandes, mount and Hojlung. Anyway Amorim can do well in Man Utd but he needs time.

I can tell you for sure maguire will not be a part of the center backs. The most important quality of the center back (on Ruben Amorim squad) is the quickness and the quality of pass. Maguire doesn’t have that

If this formation requires the forwards to have more possession then this is not going to work with Bruno fernandes constantly losing the ball and Rashford doing the same as he never looks up and garnacho who wants to shoot as soon as he gets the ball ❤
