Breaking! Germany CAN Restart Its Nuclear Reactors. Mark Nelson's Radiant Energy Group has published a document outlining what reactors can be restarted, how soon, and how much it will cost, and what economic benefits Germany will get from it. In this video I take a brief look at Radiant Energy Group's publication, and take a brief look on the map!

Germany closing its nuclear energy was so stupid.

Restarting Germany's shut down reactors should be a "no brainer" and should be done immediately.

I’m very happy as I came across this channel today as I have a deep interest in nuclear technology keep up the good work 😸🙏👍

Looking at this from the outside, it seems inexplicable that Germany doesn't take this more seriously. I feel like if sholtz was on fire they would consider raising the budget for fire extinguishers in the next quarter.

I think a wind turbine has a lifespan of about 15-20 years. After that it needs to be rebuild. Has anyone talked about the cost of replacing the entire wind turbine fleet every 15-20 years? The impact on the environment from all of that waste? What about the plastics that are released into the atmosphere from the blades? The more wind turbines you have, the largers these costs become.

Germany shouldn't have phased them out in the first place. Worse still, out of irrational fear.

They need to stop the decommissioning IMMEDIATELY

It is phenomenally cheaper to restart existing nuclear power plants than to spend billions of dollars to build new ones. Doing so could make electricity cheaper. Cheaper electricity means having a better chance of keeping industries and businesses running and profitable to keep people employed. Have heard that nuclear reactor power plants are turned off by retracting nuclear rods into cobalt sleeves. The process of restarting is the reverse of that.

Every country should cut any power cable going to Germany, only then will they take action and see reason! Thanks to EUs soviet style energy management, Germany is dragging every other neighboring country down with it.

And no, nobody it talking about restarting ALL reactors! 9 at best! We had 16 or 18 in 2011, when the Fukushima hysteria hit!

Does that mean we can afford our heating bills again here in Norway? God damn, about time

Germany was undeniably 'rational' when they though that Fukushima could happen there too! You know, Germany is, as Japan is, in a geologically active area, prone to have earthquakes and tsunamis... Right?

Thanks. You have made an importent voice and education channel, idea flowering, discussion forum and much more. Even if the society is dependent on energy a lot of us have voted for feelings and not because of knowledge, but it's more frightening that a lot politicans either have no idea or are thinking the populistic way by what will make them elected. Because energy is the most needed to keep our society going, our jobs running, and all of us have to educate ourselves.
Nearly four decades ago the Chernobyl disaster made me skeptical where even grazing areas in Norway were affected. But after talking with some people who know the industry much better I found that I'm far away from enough knowledge to judge the industry, and disasters like Chernobyl and Fukushima normally will give more resources to safeguarding and reseach to remake the industry with nuklear plants more safe. And because we already have a lot plants around the world it's importent also for existing plants with continued reseaching for a more safe industry and better extraction of residual energy with a lower residual energy level before storage, because the responsibility and any storage risk we impose on future generations might be the most important to clear in my head. Best wishes from Norway

Only to shut it down again 4 years later. As long as we have this strong anti nuclear sentiment in our population we should just leave it. Constant switching is the most expensive thing. But yeah its kinda sad we have been taken hostage by this situation.

@atomicjedic there is long black part on the end of the video, 15 min, you need to edit or re-upload it.

Actually we in Germany did not I only went out of nuclear energy but also we went out of nuclear research which is a real problem. We had a Thorium research reactor and looking at the molten salt oak ridge reactor you can show that you can build a nuclear reactor that is walk away safe when every external power connections are down like in fukushima.
We should demand this amount of safety from our nuclear reactors.
But getting total out of nuclear seems to be a total dogma in Germany. But we only have about 4 hours of pumped water storage to produce power but Switzerland has up to 30 days because to the storage lakes in the alps.
We can't rely on the rest of Europe to bail us out!
