I have a 2016 Honda crv and I do not have a phone icon. Only two usb icons. I’m fed up trying to make this work. I do not have an Apple CarPlay option, in settings I can get the map to display using screen mirroring but as soon as I put the car into gear, it goes back to blue. I can hear but can’t see the display anymore. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
The car tells me that I’m missing an app but not which one. I assume it’s the aha app but I can’t find it on the App Store.

So this was working fine for me then one day out of the blue it stopped working. It says USB not connected when it is. It charges the phone but seems to be a glitch somewhere. I mostly use it for the GPS when I dont know where I'm going. Its been a week now trying different solutions and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Thank you. I just purchased a new iphone SE. The connection does not have USB. Can I use the wall charger in the cigarette lighter to activate Apple CarPlay? Also, do I need to have the phone plugged in every time I want to use Apple Car Play? Or can I connect wirelessly? Thank you.

One thing to note, those of us out there with older tech, Apple Carplay is not compatible with the iphone 4s or older.

I have just purchased a 2020 Honda CRV EX L. When I plug in for Apple Car Play, the display icon doesn't turn green as your does. Also, I don't get notifications of text messages and I've check all settings. Suggestions? Thank you.
