Cool project! One thing, and I understand you said you'd only fly the rocket on Estes motors, but you can create a thrust ring by building several layers of masking tape at the nozzle end of the motor, that way you don't need an engine block. In the unlikely event you'd want to fly longer motors, you still can :)

Also all I could think about watching this is its excellent use for 2 stage rockets!

Interesting idea. I had a few questions/different ideas:
1) why drill the hole for the wires so close to hook for the shock cord? I would have drilled it on the other side to make it easier and to retain strength around the shock cord
2) I would have installed the motor block as step two, after the retainer threads. More stable workpiece. Is there any concern over the ejection gases not having a clear path?
3) CA glue is pretty brittle and doesn’t handle heat well. Any concerns over that? I would have used wood glue in some steps or epoxy
4) easy way to thread the ignition cable through the insulation sleeve would have been to slide the launch rod through the sleeve, tape the end of the ignition cable to the rod, then pull it through. But it didn’t look too hard either way.

Really cool project! The website isn't working to check them out so, do you have the schematic available to download, if I wanted to build it myself? The 'Electronic Payload' looks pretty easy to build. I don't see a parts list for the 'Receiver board' or the file to have your custom board made. (From your instructibles page)

What about a guide on how to build the receiver board, before you made the custom one. If not, it's ok! I just haven't been able to find a similar project as good as yours to build. I'm still new to model rocketry so, this is definitely something I'd want to try!

I liked the project but, you should update your link information for those of us who are interested in acquiring a telemetry payload & receiver for our android smart phones. the present link is not secure or nonexistent🤔.

Hey, I LOVE your project, REALLY (i've reading on it for a while, and waiting for it come back on stock). I have three questions, do you have a date for when you're gonna have more on stock?? If so, have you thought about creating a "let me know when it's back on stock via email" prompt on your site? Finally, is there any way to use it with a Raspberry pi as opposed to phone? Thanks!!
