Exploring Wireless Charging & Autonomous Buses: CUTRIC Phase III Consultation (Nov 6, 2024)

The Pan-Canadian Electric Bus Demonstration and Integration Trial led by the Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC) is accelerating the adoption of zero emission buses (ZEBs) across Canada. The latest phase in this innovative project explores cutting-edge technologies like autonomous driving and inductive charging to revolutionize public transit systems nationwide.

Phase III will dive into automated charging guidance, Level 4 autonomous driving and further advancements in wireless and inductive charging. Consultation sessions from November to December 2024 will assess readiness and identify potential collaborations for these breakthrough technologies.

This video is a recording of the first consultation session held on November 6, 2024, where stakeholders gathered to introduce the project concept, provide a high-level introduction to the new technology and solicit initial feedback on both the project and technology.
