*My yard consists of roughly 3.5 acres of "mowable" area with several small hills **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend and valleys and tree-beds scattered throughout. Not only did the mower do a great job, but at the end of cutting the entire lawn, I STILL had 35% left on the battery.*

Really glad that you care enough to make this video. That tells a lot about your company in my opinion. Thanks Ed Wright

Great advice here. I’m a Industrial Electrician and obtained a different brand zero turn mower for hardly any money. The previous owner melted the wiring harness and instead of repairing the mower they sold it to me. I got the mower home and troubleshoot the circuits to see if there was a faulty switch or coil. What I am getting to is as in my field we troubleshoot basically the same way and I printed off the wiring diagram and highlighted it like you said while troubleshooting and installing the new wiring harness. My mower has a diode for the clutch like you talked about and I wanted to understand the theory of why a diode was there. Man it’s been 20 plus years since I took electronic classes at tech school. So I did some research and you are also correct about backlash voltage when a high current circuit is opened. Once I read that a 💡

Really, it is really the professional way to approach something like this that involves so mucho dirt and shades, wires that at least my self only get 50% of the explanation. Pls  don't stop doing what  u do.  JUST, DONT CHANGE ANYTHING. God blesses u. My respects   Carlos

At 17:28 You're talking about the starter in a no crank situation, I think it would be important to mention if valve clearances aren't correct it will keep the starter from turning the motor over. It would cause a voltage drop across the system and have you chasing your tale. Also you can do a voltage drop test at the starter to ground on frame to see how much parasitic voltage loss from a failed ground to frame, whether it's a fraying wire or loose connection.

Ed, what's your role in the company? In all the videos, you're always diving in head first & getting dirty. Your product knowledge is outstanding. Keep up the good work!

No. People need to know where wires connect. Where does the NEG batt cable connect ? Everyone know there are wires and that they connect. But where ?

Thanks so much for the very informative videos! I have a ZK and replaced the engine with a new Kawasaki. The problem is that the wiring harness does not match the original.I have most of it figured out but the fuel solenoid.Since you say the orange wire has power all the time does that mean that the fuel solenoid has constant power to it.Thank you.

I should know all of these things. But yet, I still enjoy these videos.

Edit. Well not an expert with lawn mowers. But I am certified CompTIA A+ and Cisco CCNA certified. So I am really great at trouble shooting and with computers. And plenty of hands on fixing of weedwhackers and lawnmowers along with my business license of landscaping.

I watched 1:12 seconds of your video and you were talking about safety while testing this system and being aware the motor may start or be a issue. Disconnect your spark plug boots. I will continue watching the video and provide anymore feedback to your training.

I’ve had some electrical issues with my new machines a little annoying when you have the lay up a machine when it’s brand new and they should still keep a recoil pull start just for emergency if the battery goes dead once everything is done, you cant Start it that’s annoying I know it would be a little tough to pull start a better motor but it can be done when you’re in a jam

Thank you for your EXCELLANT explanation. Being trying to figure out engine replacement nightmare for days now. You gave me some very interesting things to check. Again, great job!

Now on my Kohler courage sv725 its purple wire had a orange wire that jumped from it to its own hole on the plug i cut the male plug part off because the engine doesn't go to the sst18 that plastic plugs not needed because of that but thd wiring is thats all sorted out except for the yellow wire on the pto switch now that set of wires goes to the sst18 none goes to the Kohlers wiring but i spliced them into the sst18 wiring

when he says take off your ring and watches it is good advice. My stainless Steele watchband turned glowing red one day on my wrist. I still have a scar from the burn.

Glad, I found the channel, the video quality is great! Have you guys considered tutorial type videos? Simple tasks that are standard between all Wright mowers such; as replacing belts, chaining oil, blades, greasing and other tasks that will have to be completed over the life of the typical mower.
