I remember installing esxi to USB pendrives of like 4-8GB. Isn't giving a 60 GB just for esxi a waste? One should add a virtual disk for datastore anyway, and that one should be big enough to store all the VMs, right?

Why such low resources? doesn't the host need a lot of power so you can install virtual computers onto it? I guess I don't know how it works.

Hey man. I'm curious, do you get all the functionality of ESXi running it this way? Like, just on Workstation I can't really get port mirroring right for an IDS, for instance and ESXi. Since you're running ESXi ON Workstation, then it seems you'd lose that functionality right? So what's the benefit of doing this aside from just practicing with installation and stuff?
