HOW TO SAIL AROUND THE WORLD

Показать описание
Although it may seem crazy to sail around the world, once you analyze the various wind patterns and hurricane seasons and with a bit of planning it’s quite reasonable for anyone with a sense of adventure to do the same. There’s lots of ways to sail around the world. If you’re racing, you often use storms in the southern ocean to propel you along. It’s a completely different approach. One that requires serious boats that are built for those conditions. We on the other hand sail around the world by staying more or less in the trade wind belts. This stacks the odds in our favour. We often have the wind and waves behind, pushing us along and stay warm in the non-stop tropical conditions.

I just re-discovered you guys! The last time I plugged in you were selling? your little 22" sloop with a tiny tot aboard...and now you're aboard a multihull dodging freighters in Indonesia, or some such place? I am REALLY impressed! Way to go!

I was in Trinidad last time I wrote to you guys. Ended up in Pakistan and now, because of the pandemic, I’m back in Ottawa. So glad to see you’re continuing your journey!

Nice post. I learned a bit. I left Seattle in Aug. 89, and finish my six year circumnavigation in Manzanillo, MX. Finished the whole thing in San Diego, where I married the gal down the dock, who caught our dock lines.

Loved how informative this you made this episode concerning when and where to sail. Super easy to understand for the non-sailor.

Totally agree with you about sailing at night, wherein there's an absence of light aside from the moon and when you look up you just can't help appreciate the beauty of the stars.

Dear Ben & Ash
I am from Hungary. I love you Guys. I have stopped watching television since I found your videos on YouTube. Each of your films are very interesting and hard to stop watching them I wish you a good luck on the rest of your trip.

First time I ever heard about Swiftlets buildings in Indonesia. That’s pure genius farming the birds nest in a relatively safe controlled environment. Here in the Philippines people would dangerously wall climb inside dark caves to harvest them.
