Hi can you explain specifically how drinking caffeine prior affects the results of a in body scan please?

This machine cannot be precise, because it's asking to enter your height, age and gender.
If you are a 23 y/old male bodybuilder, instead enter that you are a 75
y/old female. If there's no difference in muscle and fat mass - it's precise. In my case I had up to 7.5kg difference (I made up 3 profiles - one of myself, 49 y/o athletic female, then as a 23 y/o male and then as a 85 y/o female). Of course, as an 85 female I was obese with dangerous fat mass.
I don't believe any of those machines. Dexa scan is probably better, but the best would be MRI to actually see your visceral fat and the quality of your muscle mass, not just quantity.
