Dyepot Weekly #372 - Triad Color Mixing with Secondary Neon Colors (Fluorescent Dharma Acid Dyes)

Dyeing 20 g minis a 0.5% DOS using 1% stock solutions
A total of 10 mL of dye in each sample.
I didn't have enough!
[3:59] Setting up the dyebaths
1 cup of water + 10 mL of dye
[9:36] Adding acid to the cups
Add 1 T white vinegar to each cup
[11:57] The leftover dyes
remnants from syringes and cups
[13:11] After a few days, heat setting the colors
steam set for 30 min in small batches to avoid color transfer
[16:52] The finished dry yarn
[19:29] Comparison with mixing neon primaries

Would you remember whether the pastel peach you created from all 3 leftover dyes was also UV reactive? Now that would be amazing.

Radioactive sure got shouted down by Fluorescent Safety Orange and Purple Pop. I'm wondering what the array would look like if the Radioactive was bumped up to 0.75% or even 1% DOS?

What is color breaking when dying yarn? I can see the bleeding on the paper towels but still not grasping breaking during the dying process. Is it a bad thing or both depending on the circumstances?
