FILMING EQUIPMENT

Yarn mops presoaked with some acid
[4:09] The dyebath
300 g of yarn + ~5-6 cups of a mixture of 8 cups of water + 3 T white vinegar. Add just enough to cover the yarn.
Add more of this liquid as needed. Heat up
[6:09] Dyeing the Green Colorway
Emerald Green + Radioactive
Speckle with my fingertips using the straight dye powder
wait at least 10 minutes before flipping the yarn
10 min after adding the last dye, flip and add more water so 8 cups total in the pan
[11:07] Dyeing the yellow
Brilliant Yellow + Fluroescent Lemon
[13:01]Dyeing the orange
Steam set the mop a bit between batches to help get good color coverage
Fluorescent Safety Orange & Blazing Orange

I think doing the 6 colour rainbow sets was great, because coming into pride month next month it is just perfect without the indigo.

I love the whole series, but woh that yarnmop is spectacular, i tried to do something like that, but yes it became all muddy. Now I learned how to do this, heatset in between colors will do the trick

Yellow being my favorite color, I was delighted that it got its moment to shine.
What to make with your stash?! As you held up the That Yak bundle, it came to me that it would make a handsome and striking pair of gloves. The hardest part (for me, anyway) would be deciding whether to carry the rainbow stripes up around the fingers, or to make each finger a single, different color.
