Queen 'B' Syndrome Style to The Art of Fashion | Gossip Girl - Blair Waldorf Analysis
Показать описание
In this video, I will be covering the style of Blair Waldorf, a main character in the Gossip Girl series of novels, and its television adaption which aired from 2007 to 2012. We will be looking into Queen bee syndrome, the psychology of Blair's personality type, and the impact of her personal style to break down how fashion is an art form to be appreciated, but also is misconstrued into a surface level or shallow frivolity despite how it was utilized as an instrument of reign in Blair's case.
I'll be analyzing her codes of dress and how they function for her on a personal level as well as how they function on or in relation to others. Through this, we can better understand the power fashion holds in social settings psychologically in hand with actions as well as the sociology of a queen bee's (Or B's) reign. With the comprehension of these points, we will be able to see how a girl once described as, "a 95-pound, doe-eyed, bonmot-tossing, label-whoring package of girly evil" underwent great development into a woman who isn't living in constant fear of falling into a shadow or scheming her way through life, but rather feels at ease as an individual who sees and values herself with the security of knowing that she can not only shine, but shine alongside others.
