Using technology to enhance healthcare education and training | Rodrigo Dias Takase | TEDxMartigny

Healthcare students need a new alternative way to practice procedures in order to be more confident and get enough skills to do it on real patients. Mobile simulations can be the solution to improve medical training, offering them an easy, accessible, affordable and more immersive way to improve their skills, using their smartphones, via augmented and virtual reality.

Rodrigo Dias Takase is graduated in Computer Engineering at University of Campinas - Brazil, and was interested in game developing since his childhood. He has been working with educational software since 2007 at the Educational Technology Laboratory at the University of Campinas and he is also an instructor of two iOS development courses on Coursera. His Dental Simulator project was one of the winners of International Creative Challenge 2016. His fields of research and expertises are: iOS and mobile development, entrepreneurship, design, medical and educational software, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
